Wilco and Lydia Venter
They have been born and raised in South Africa under the Apartheid's Regime.
As young adults, however they received Christ as Lord,
and were convicted that all men are equal and therefore needed
equal opportunities.
They have been happily married for the past 17 years.
Wilco worked for Gold Fields in SA for 16 years and resigned in 2001
as a Foreman Electrician.
Lydia worked for Karoo Ochse (Kanhym Ltd. SA) as a private secretary for the
Head of Hides and Skins Department.
In 1991 they received a strong calling for Kenya.
They adopted 3 children while they still lived in South Africa.
In September 2001 they traveled for 9 days by road to Kenya and it was then
that they received a vision to go to Kenya.
They adobted 2 children while they were in Kenya.
From 2001 to 2003 they gave lecturing at the Njoro Bible College.
During 2003 they started working amongst the Ndorobo tribe.
In 2004 they started with a small playgroup (3 children) in garage and
then in 2005 the YASHA Mission Academy was birthed.
